Craps Table

In every casino, there is usually two Craps tables, and there is no doubt that you have seen them because they are very large and very hard to miss. One of the most beckoning features about a Craps table is the large Come line in the center of the table. Many new Craps tables consider this an invitation to play the game, and will step right up and place their chips in the Come line. They are quickly corrected on their error, and their bet is then placed on the Pass or Don’t Pass line.

A Craps table is very large and might bring back memories of pirates and their sunken treasures. The Craps table looks sunken because it definitely is sunken. The sunken design creates a throwing pit that people use to toss a pair of dice from one end of the Craps table to the other, and both dice must hit the other end, even if the distance seems very far away.

People that play the game of Craps are called Craps players, and the person that is tossing the pair of dice toward the other end of the Craps table are referred to as Shooters. This might be because the dice have to get great speed on the roll to reach the other end of this long, sunken pit design that a Craps table features.

When people place their bets on a Craps table, they are betting on whether the Shooter will achieve a winning combination, which on a Craps Table can be construed to mean that the first roll of the dice will be a 7 or 11 roll. This is the come-out phase for the game of Craps, and the player can only lose if they roll the dice and the numbers 2, 3, or 12 appear. With this occurs, the Craps Table will be given a new shooter, because the last one crapped out.

The action intensifies on the Craps Table after the first roll. This is where players begin to use a wide assortment of bets, to win money on each roll of the dice. If the current shooter on the Craps Table rolls other numbers, such as 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10, then they have in all actually set the point for the next roll of the dice on the sunken surface of the Craps table.

In this point phase of the Craps game, played on the Craps table, the shooter can make money if he rolls any of the point numbers that came up on his first roll. If he rolls the dice on the Craps table, and gets a 7, then that shooter has lost the roll, and is considered by other players to have sevened-out, and he will lose his turn at shooting the dice on the Craps Table. This table actions continues on with a new shooter and all Craps play will be done on the Craps table.
