About Baccarat
If you have ever visited a land based gaming Casino, then you have probably witnessed the gaming action that occurs at a Baccarat table. You did not know a thing about Baccarat before you walked into the casino, and you were probably very hesitant on knowing more about Baccarat than what you could learn by watching other people playing the game.
People make this determination about Baccarat because the game board looks very intimidating. It looks far too simple and people do not trust anything in a Casino that looks simple to use. They are far more comfortable playing the complex betting screens that are found on a slot machine. On a slot machine of this type, determining the payoff is far more confusing than what the game of Baccarat seems to be.
People learn about Baccarat by watching people play. They have all sorts of thoughts happening at one time as they watch the action. They study the gaming board and the large letters that spell out Player and Banker seem to reel in their minds, and they think that this is some sort of game that deposits are made and withdrawals do not seem to occur very often.
By viewing a Baccarat game in progress, the Baccarat spectator will determine quickly that there are a lot of cards in this game. When they learn all they can about Baccarat, they realize in an instant that the game has 8 decks of cards in it, and they are all placed in a shoe, and a person is assigned as the Banker.
While learning about Baccarat, these hesitant Baccarat spectators will learn that the game rules seem fairly simple at first. They know that the Baccarat rules say that they have to choose who the winner of the hand will be, and that they can choose the Player, Dealer or a Tie. At this point, they begin to think they know all about Baccarat, and might be on the verge of sitting down to play a few hands.
These hesitant spectators are nowhere near ready to play Baccarat for real money. They do not know enough about Baccarat to be able to make a competent decision on whether to choose the Player or the Banker as the winner on any of the hands that might be dealt in the game.
These spectators quickly learn that the game of Baccarat determines the winner by see which hand comes the closest to the number 9. These spectators really think they are ready to play Baccarat because they have learned the basics and feel they know enough about Baccarat to make a wager.
When they see that the face cards do not equal 10, as they do in other card games offered at the casino, they then realize that there might be more to know about Baccarat than they ever dreamed was possible, so they decide to stand there and be a spectator for the rest of the evening, until they are confident enough to place a bet and learn about Baccarat the hard way.
