PDAs & Handhelds

The world is moving towards the nanotechnology at a brisk rate. This technology tends to minimize every gadget and device which we will be using in the near future. PDAS are the most significant examples of nanotechnology in hand; these are the tiniest computers ever produced which can be as small as your palm and still have all the embedded features which a normal desktop PC has. The best part of these devices like the PDAs is their touch screen feature which makes them much easier to operate.

PDAS or the personal digital assistant is also known as the palmtops because of their small size. They were considered to be organizers initially but soon they became much more than that. These devices are being used for number of applications namely calculation, e-mails, internet hubs, music applications and for global positioning GPS. The GPS is a navigating system that can provide you the details of our current location with the globe as a reference. This system is based on line of sight communication between the transmitter and the receiver. It uses the services of almost 24 medium earth orbit satellites that work as transponders for the PDA devices. The signal from PDAs travels to the satellites which response the current location to the PDA user.

Nowadays PDAs also are compatible with video recording which is the latest and most fascinating technology. Thus with a handheld PDA in your hand you can have the pleasure of a camera, a walkman and a computer in one single embedded device. Technology is heading towards embedding mobile communication too in this small package. These new devices are known as smart phones which provide you all time internet access via the WI-FI wireless broadband technology.

The choice of these devices is not an easy task to do. The market today is flooded with various brands which provide the customer a bright chance to choose from. You might get confused at first on seeing the amazing devices as all of them feels like a must buy one device. But you have to cater your needs and then go for a PDA device. Doing a little bit of window shopping is a better option. You must go through the market first, before finally deciding on a particular brand. The leading players in the PDA manufacturing include Samsung, Sony, LG, and Panasonic. Thus if you are a tech savvy person than these PDAs are meant for you, go and buy one.
