Computer network

Network could be defined as the means of communication for speaking to each other. With the presence of computer network, computers could receive emails from each other. It also allows you to send files to each other and also help to instant message with each other. It also includes many things other than these. These are things which were considered to be taken for granted things. But nowadays it is no the case today as people are more into the sophisticated things which makes the things move more rapidly.

Networks could be divided into two mainly. These are the LAN and WAN which are Local Area Network and Wide Area Network respectively. The simplest of them are known to be LAN where all the computers present in the networks are located. It points to a single place like the office building. There are two ways in connecting in such networks.

The simplest way is known to be peer to peer. In this networking two or more computers are connected to each other directly. The computers are consecutively hooked to one another. In such a network each of the computers present in the network are dependent on the other. Within the network even if a single computer goes down or does not function then it would not allows the other computers in the network to pass and exchange datas and informations. This is known to be the most important severe problem encountered with this type of networking. Another major problem is that the write process dealt within the computers would result in data corruption problems. These are known to be things which are not taught in schools but it is obtained through experiences.

WAN is known to be the second type of computer network. It is known to be combination of several LAN networks or even the connection between single computers to a much larger network. Internet is known to be the most sought after example of the WAN. It is through this network many people are able to contact each other through various networks like email, instant messaging and chat rooms. The WANs are considered to be very huge when compared to that of LAN which is very small. It helps people around the world to be in contact with each other but LAN is confined to the local area. It does not affect the other linked computer if a single one drops.
