Malicious Software, a Problem at a Deeper Level
You heart comes into your mouth when you get to know that your computer is infected by a virus. But have you ever understood that who planted this virus in your computer. The answer is you yourself. Remember that whenever you install new software on your desktop computer from the internet, there is a huge risk that the software may be malicious. Malicious software is that software which perform those actions not meant for them, and that is what a virus also does. Hence to stay away from these viruses you must stay from unknown and alien software.
Malicious software is basically programs that destruct your computer’s activity by utilizing system resources that are not intended for the. Some common kinds of malicious soft wares are spy wares, ad-wares and the viruses. But everything has a reason and the reason for malicious soft ware attacking your computer is that you have clicked on the link or installed the soft ware having the software. Thus you have to remain vigilant while doing any technical thing or clicking on any link on the internet.
Sometimes malicious codes can also creep in due to defective hardware in use like the defective floppy disks, compact disks and DVDs. Internet is also a large source, say the largest source of malicious software. Enormous malicious software is downloaded daily from the internet. Thus it depends on the internet user and his common sense to stay away from these things. Thus it is highly recommended to have hardware from trusted source only else it might corrupt your important data and you may have to loose it. One way to prevent anything from happening is to scan the discs before you use them with the help of anti- virus software like the AVG, NORTON, MCAFFE etc.
Internet links can be the most dangerous malicious sources as they can lead you to a link that can be link to malicious software that downloads itself and then can cause severe problems later. Some malicious viruses can eat up your executable files and then you are not able to install any new software on your computer. Thus if a link looks suspicious then do not go for it. A browser with good security feature can itself block you from opening a link that is suspicious. Thus if you are using internet then you must have one spy ware to stay protected all the time, because people have fun by disturbing others in his internet world.
