Biometrics is really a new age technology which is still in its childhood when it comes to awareness and accessibility. This technology will no doubt become the largest security providing technology in the times to come. We all know that Biometric devices use the physical and behavioral character of persons to validate their individuality. These passports have special chip embedded in then which makes them work like a mart card. These can be read using a card reader in no time and the check completes. The working principle behind these biometric passports is the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) which makes them work like a smart card and that too a non-contact one. You do not need to insert these passports in to the reader; they can be read from a distance.
These passports can store almost any information about the person. They have large memory to store individual information, almost 32 k. thus they can really become the future of the passport manufacturing state authorities in the world. With technologies like this we can feel safe in our homes and can guarantee that we will not be attacked by some one when we are sleeping or working.
